Editorial 10 november 2010 UMR Eco&Sols is a joint research unit with 4 French Research or Teaching Institutes: the national institute for agricultural research (INRA), an international center for higher education in agricultural sciences (SupAgro), a public research institute for Southern countries (IRD) and a research centre for agricultural and development issues in developing countries (CIRAD). Eco&Sols' research works on ecological processes of primary production and the regulation of the carbon and nutrient (N and P) fluxes. Located in Montpellier (France), Dakar (Senegal), Antananarivo (Malagasy), Bangkok (Thaïland), Turri alba (Costa Rica), Sao Paolo (Brazil), Pointe Noire (Congo), Eco&Sols' research focuses on Mediterranean and tropical agro-ecosystems.
